How to: Create a new Tax Group

Before making a new Tax Group you will want to make your Tax Entities.  Follow this link for instructions. How to: Create a new Tax Entity

How to: Create a new Tax Group

1. Navigate to Settings -> Configuration -> Taxes
2. Click on the "Add Tax Group" button on the top of the Taxes grid.
3. Give the group a descriptive name, description, and ledger account if applicable.
4. Choose the desired Tax Entities from the drop down list (you can have more than one).
5. Click the "Update" button to create the group.

Once all taxing entities have been added, the effective tax rate for the group should match the desired rate.
